BNSF Secure Customer Website Upgrade - Known Browser Issues

Effective July 24, 2011, BNSF will be upgrading our secure customer website. You will see enhancements that improve ease of use and navigation, including new customization and menu options for further personalization.

To see these new enhancements, and to continue using your secure tools, you will need to update your browser by Sunday, July 24, 2011. Internet Explorer 6 will not be compatible with our site after the upgrade and users may experience functionality issues.

If you are using IE6, please update your browser or use one of these recommended platforms by July 24 to continue viewing the site correctly: Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3.5, Safari 4 or Google Chrome.

Known Issues

Internet Explorer 6 - Functional and Visual Issues

  • Intermittent script errors may sometimes disable navigation, requiring the IE6 user to log out, close the browser, and log in again
  • Minor cosmetic issues (sections of the customer site not sized correctly, color differences, improper rendering of parts of the site etc.)
  • Inability to minimize or delete sections of the site
  • Inability to customize the site

In addition, BNSF will no longer support IE 6 browsers when making future application enhancements. These enhancements will not be tested for IE6, and therefore, applications that work today may cease to work in IE6 in the future.
