BNSF Videos Win National Telly Awards

2010-04-08

Two BNSF videos have been selected to receive 2010 Telly Awards.

"The Joint Operations Update" has been awarded a "Telly" for employee communications, and "2008: A Historic Year" has been recognized in the history category.

"The Joint Operations Update" was hosted by Transportation Vice President Greg Fox, Engineering Vice President Dave Freeman and Mechanical Vice President Chris Roberts. Using a TV news-magazine format, the video informed BNSF's Operations team about major team initiatives, including Best Way, and safety updates.

"2008: A Historic Year" presented an overview of an extraordinary year for BNSF characterized by Midwest floods, major capital expansion projects, service achievements and a severe economic recession. It was distributed in early 2009 to all employees as an insert in Railway magazine.

Both videos were produced under the direction of Paul Parisot, director, Video/Interactive Communications, in Corporate Relations.

Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier national award honoring outstanding TV commercials and programs, corporate and independent film and video productions, and groundbreaking Web commercials, videos and films. Winners represent the best work of leading advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators and corporate video departments.
