Coming Monday: BNSF's New External Website Goes Live

The new bnsf.com will be officially unveiled on Monday, May 17.

The new design is the result of months of work and lays the foundation for continued improvement. Content, photos and graphics on the existing site have been reviewed and updated. New features, such as a virtual train tour, were added. An updated "Communities" section offers information about BNSF's role as a good neighbor and as a steward in protecting the environment.

The installation of the new site begins Friday night, May 14, so parts of bnsf.com may be unavailable for periods of time during the weekend.

Many of the site's improvements are aimed at helping customers do business with BNSF, but employees and retirees will also find changes to their pages on the site. Separate pages will now be available for employees and retirees. These sections will include postings from Railway magazine and BNSF News, as well as other information.

For BNSF employees, the internal portal and intranet site -- employee.bnsf.com -- is still the primary source of information and news about the company.
