Bob Lease Becomes Vice President Service Design and Performance

Bob Lease has been named vice president, Service Design and Performance, succeeding Rollin Bredenberg who has been named to a new position. Lease will be responsible for service design functions for the Coal, Agricultural, Industrial and Consumer Products business units. He will report to Greg Fox, executive vice president, Operations, and John Lanigan, executive vice president and chief marketing officer.

Lease most recently served as regional vice president, South Operations. He joined a predecessor of BNSF in 1978 and progressed through a number of positions of increasing leadership responsibility, including regional vice president, Central Region, and general manager, Chicago Division.

"Bob's strong understanding of our operations and network flows position him well for this role in Service Design," said Fox. "The Service Design function is foundational in nature and critical to BNSF's focus on continuous improvements in service and velocity. We're looking forward to Bob's leadership in this key role."
