Friends of BNSF Attracts 8,500 Members in First Month

More than 8,500 employees, retirees and members of the public have joined the Friends of BNSF ranks since the new site launched one month ago.

Friends of BNSF is a special members-only website for rail advocates and BNSF enthusiasts. The site offers its members access to historic photos and videos, free downloads and company updates.

Content recently added to the site includes:

  • Photo update on BNSF's flood recovery work on the St. Joseph Subdivision
  • Video update on the completion of the expansion project in Abo Canyon in New Mexico
  • Historic photo of Great Northern's Empire Builder crossing the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis
  • Video of CEO Matt Rose speaking at the Supply Chain Summit in Seattle
  • Video of the recent open house at the locomotive repair facility in Topeka, Kan.

Content soon to be posted includes historic Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe photographs, and a profile of Lincoln, Neb., and its long-standing relationship with BNSF and its predecessors.
