Williams Named Kansas Division General Manager

John Williams has been named general manager of BNSF's Kansas Division effective immediately, it was announced today by Greg Fox, vice president, Transportation.

Williams succeeds Steve Curtright, who was named general manager of the Gulf Division earlier this week. A successor to Williams as assistant vice president, Signals, will be named later.

Williams began his railroad career in 1973 as a signal helper at Memphis and later worked in various Signal capacities at locations in Missouri and Illinois. He was named director, Signal, at Galesburg, Ill., in 1996 and general director, Line Maintenance, at Minneapolis in 2001. Williams was named assistant vice president, Signals in February 2006.
