ETD Tip of the Week

2007-11-29

With winter upon us, it is even more important to retrieve ETDs from the train yard and store them properly. If an ETD is left laying on the ground during a snow storm, it can quickly "disappear" from view. A buried ETD may cause a tripping hazard, it may be buried [ LOST ] for months, and/or it may be damaged from the moisture/snow.

When trains terminate at your terminal, make sure you promptly retrieve and store the ETDs. This simple step will help to eliminate tripping hazards to our employees and to increase ETD availability across our system.
