Ticket Requests for 2008 BNSF Special

2008-04-24

Ticket requests for the 2008 BNSF Railway Special are moving briskly. Some locations already are at or near capacity just two days into the official start of ticket requests. BNSF employees are encouraged to place their requests as soon as possible to ensure seating at the preferred time near their work location.

Tickets

Tickets are available for train trip events from June 2 – June 26. There is no charge to ride the BNSF Special.

  • Ticketing runs for approximately three weeks, from April 23 through May 21.
  • Tickets are issued only to current, active BNSF employees.
  • Due to capacity limitations, up to four tickets only are available to each active BNSF employee who works along the BNSF Special route. If a husband and wife are both employed by BNSF, the family will receive a total of four tickets. These four tickets can be used by the employee, a relative or guest (including BNSF retirees).
  • Every guest must have a ticket, including infants and children (all children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).

If an employee must work during the event and cannot ride the Special, ticketed family members and guests are still eligible to participate. Employees should not layoff to ride the Special unless their immediate supervisor authorizes the time off.

Placing Your Order

You may order tickets by calling Central Ticket at 1-800-462-7979 from April 23 through May 21.

The ticketing agency operates Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Central Time). If you get a busy signal, please call back later – they will not accept voicemail messages for ticket orders

Employees need to provide the following information for ticket orders:

  • Employee name
  • Employee number
  • Employee work location (city and state)
  • Event number, date and location
  • Number of tickets you want (maximum of four)
  • Your mailing address where tickets should be sent
  • Daytime phone number, or phone number where a message can be left

If an employee cannot telephone for tickets, a family member may place the call but must provide the necessary information.

Tickets can be ordered only for one BNSF Special event. Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.  If an event is already full, please select another available event in the employee's work location.

Tickets will be mailed to the employee's home after an order has been placed.  Tickets cannot be exchanged after they have been issued.
