New Vehicle Database Implemented Friday, Nov. 7

On Friday, Nov. 7, employees will begin using the new BNSF vehicle database developed by Automotive Resources International (ARI). 

ARI insights® vehicle database replaces ARI ACCESS, the current BNSF vehicle database. ARI insights® is a robust vehicle management tool for users to view vehicle information, access management reports, receive fuel and maintenance alerts and create ad hoc queries.

All users will access the BNSF vehicle fleet database as they do now.  

• Go to employee.bnsf.com
• Select Employee Tools from the Quicklinks channel  (gray menu bar  in the left column)
• Select Vehicle Fleet Resource 
• Click the blue box (shown below, left icon) titled ARI insights (BNSF Vehicle Database).
• Click the All Users or Structure 21 Users icon for access to the database. 

All users

No ID or password is required to view the BNSF vehicle fleet database information. Users can view general vehicle information, fuel transaction history, maintenance transactions, driver assignment and administrative contacts. 

Structure 21 users

User logon is required. The employee’s ID and department/supervisor Structure 21 rollup code will allow access to their vehicles. Supervisors are strongly encouraged to use the new tools on the Structure 21 dashboards. The ARI insights® dashboard provides access to the department/supervisor’s Web reports (inventory, non-fuel transactions, non-utilization, preventive maintenance exceptions, Enterprise rentals, etc.) and the key performance indicators (KPIs) to manage their fuel and maintenance alerts. The KPI alerts will be updated daily to provide real-time alerts for supervisors to manage their vehicles’ operating expenses.

Assigned login users

Logins are required for vehicle fleet managers.

When users access ARI insights® for the first time, they will notice the “Inventory Display” menu option has been replaced with “General Vehicle.” The General Vehicle screen will display all the same BNSF vehicle information in a new, updated format.

The ARI insights® instructions document will be posted on the Vehicle Fleet Resource Web site as well as sent to the department vehicle coordinator for distribution. The instruction document provides detailed information for navigation and field definitions.
