Olsovsky Named a Technology Leader in Texas

Jo-ann Olsovsky, vice president, Technology Services, and chief information officer, was named one of the 10 Best in Texas Women to Know by the National Women of Color Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Conference.

The honor recognizes female trailblazers in technology and science.

Olsovsky began her career at age 19 as a technician at an AT&T subsidiary, the only woman in her group at that time. She is pleased to see the increase of women in the information technology and telecommunications fields.

Other honorees included representatives from American Airlines, AT&T Services, ConocoPhillips, Fluor Corp, ExxonMobil, Halliburton, NASA, Perot Systems and Texas Instruments.
