BNSF Honored as Corporation of the Year by Native American Organization

BNSF has been named Corporation of the Year for the second time in about a month. In November, BNSF received similar honors  from the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Texas.

This time, the Houston Native American Chamber of Commerce bestowed the honor at the 8th Annual Walking between Worlds American Indian Scholarship and Corporate Awards Gala on Dec. 4.

Vahid Morris, senior trainmaster based in Houston/Beaumont, Texas, accepted the award on BNSF’s behalf. BNSF received the award for company contributions toward the achievement centers  in South Dakota that were opened for the Pine Ridge and Cheyenne River reservations in September.

Also attending the festivities were Michele Munoz, senior technical analyst, and Cherie Gordon, manager, Diverse Business Enterprise, both of Fort Worth.
