ETD Tip of the Week
2008-12-29
An end-of-train device (ETD) was found in the back of a pickup recently.
After lying in standing water after a weekend of rain, the ETD was in dire need of repair.
Remember that when you transport an ETD in a yard vehicle or truck, it should, if possible, be transported in an upright position. If it is raining or snowing, take steps to either put the ETD in the vehicle or cover the ETD to protect it from the elements.
