BNSF NewsEmployees Stage Freight as Hurricane Ida Nears Landfall2009-11-09Hurricane Ida was downgraded to a tropical storm as it prepared to make landfall today, Nov. 9, but BNSF did issue a service interruption bulletin to customers. Steve Curtright, general manager, Gulf Division, said employees are staging freight west of Avondale, La. Curtright said the service interruption is expected to be relatively short.
