Continuing our effort to reduce the number of tariff items and simplify existing items, BNSF will cancel wheat flour rates from stations that have not shipped for the last 2.5 years.
Following item consolidation, railroad equipment rates will be set at a 15% premium to equivalent new private equipment rates instead of taking separate adjustments listed above.
In addition, effective January 1, 2008, there will be a standard 10% spread between large hoppers (Column 2) and small hoppers (Column 1). New Column 1 rates will be set at 91% of the value of the corresponding Column 2 rates.
All Northern Flour Items will be reviewed for further possible increases effective April 1, 2008. Flour boxcar rates are also under review at this time.
