2008 1Q Northern Wheat Rate Increases
Effective January 1, 2008, the following light-axle (268,000 lb GWOR) wheat rates will increase. NOTE: There will be no increases to PNW export rates.
Eastern destinations (beyond Minneapolis) from MN, ND, SD, and MT (new Items 45328, 45428):
Most destination rates will increase $50. Minneapolis MN and St Paul MN destination rates which are currently at $0, will remain unchanged.
Export rates to St. Louis, Texas Gulf, and jointline rates to the Center Gulf will be published as follows:

PNW destinations from MN, ND, SD, and MT (new Items 43411, 43611, 43811):
Domestic moves to transload facilities will be increased. Tacoma and Frederickson WA rates will increase $50. Seattle WA rates will increase $100. NOTE: Effective March 1, 2008, Tacoma and Frederickson WA rates will increase an additional $50, and Seattle WA rates will increase an additional $100. There will be no changes to export destination facilities.
PNW destinations from CA, ID, WA, and OR (Items 43592, 43593):
Domestic moves to transload facilities will be increased. Tacoma WA rates will increase $50. Frederickson and Seattle WA rates will be established at a $100 discount to Tacoma. NOTE: Effective March 1, 2008, Frederickson and Seattle WA rates will increase $100 to be at parity to Tacoma. There will be no changes to export destination facilities.
CA and AZ destinations from MN, ND, SD, and MT (new Items 43511, 43711, 43911):
Rates for non-DETs will increase $75; DETs will increase $25 .
Mexico shuttle destinations (Item 46720):
Rates will increase $125 to all destinations. NOTE: Effective February 1, 2007, the following destinations will take an additional increase-- $200 to San Juan De Los Lagos and Encarnacion, $150 to Penjamo, and $100 to Viborillas.
Mexico non-shuttle interchange points (Item 46711):
Rates will increase $100 to all destinations.
Jointline rates via Silverbow MT, from MN, ND, SD, and MT (Items 44603, 45604, 45605, 44810):
Rates will increase $125.
BNSF rates to Silverbow MT, from MN, ND, SD, and MT (Items 45602 and 45603):
Rates will not increase.
Between PNW stations (Item 43170):
Rates will increase $75.
PNW mileage scale (Item 43231):
Rates will increase $50.
Heavy-axle (286,000 lb GWOR) wheat rates will be set at a 9% premium to the new light-axle rates listed above.
