Effective August 1, 2008, the following light-axle (268,000 lb GWOR) wheat rates will increase.

PNW export destinations from MN, ND, SD, and MT (scheduled new Items 43413, 43613, 43813):
No change to existing rates to Portland OR, River Gate OR, Kalama WA, or Vancouver WA. Rates to transloaders in Frederickson, Seattle, and Tacoma WA will increase $75.

Eastern destinations (beyond Minneapolis) from MN, ND, SD, and MT (scheduled new Items 45335, 45435):
Most destination rates will increase $100. Minneapolis MN and St Paul MN destination rates which are currently at $0 will remain unchanged.

CA, WA, OR, and AZ domestic destinations from MN, ND, SD, and MT (scheduled new Items 43513, 43713, 43913):
Rates for non-DETs will increase $100; Rates for DETs will not increase.

PNW destinations from CA, ID, WA, and OR (Items 43592, 43593):
Interchange-received rates from Cheney and Marshall WA only will increase $115. Effective October 1, 2008 all single-car rates will increase $75, and all shuttle rates will increase $50. 26-car rates will also be established October 1, 2008, at a $25 discount to the new single-car rates.

Mexico non-shuttle interchange points (Items 46711 and 46713):
Rates will increase $100 to all destinations, with other changes possible before August 1.

Mexico jointline shuttle destinations (Item 46720):
Rates will increase $100 to all destinations, with other changes possible before August 1.

Various domestic moves (Items 43120, 44605, 44607, 44609, 44620, 45173, 45174, 45592, 45621, 45623, 45624, 45625, 45640, 45641, 45643, 45669, 45670):
Rates will increase $75.

Duluth/Superior and Minneapolis origins (Items 45550, 45560, 45561):
Effective June 1, 2008 East St. Louis IL, St. Louis MO, and Texas Gulf shuttle rates will be increased back to January 1, 2008, rate levels. All rates will increase $100 on August 1.

Jointline rates via Silverbow MT, from MN, ND, SD, and MT (Items 44603, 45604, 45605, 44810); Jointline rates to CA (Item 44613):
Any changes will be announced at a later date.

BNSF rates to Silverbow MT, from MN, ND, SD, and MT (Items 45602 and 45603):
No change to existing rates.

Between PNW stations (Item 43170); PNW mileage scale (Item 43231); Southwest mileage scale (Item 44050):
Rates will increase $75.

Heavy-axle (286,000 lb GWOR) wheat rates will be set at a 9% premium to the new light-axle rates listed above.

Reminder: All rates are subject to change on 20 days notice. COTs do not protect jointline rates, and jointline rates are subject to change independent of the scheduled August 1, 2008, changes listed above.
