April 2009 Ethanol Rate Adjustment
Ethanol rates published in BNSF 4024, items 41001, 41003 and 41005 will be adjusted effective April 1, 2009. Items 41004, 41006, 41007, 41008, 41011, 41012 will be introduced in the tariff.

$150 increase to interchange points with other railroads in IL, MO and KY or destinations on BNSF in IL, MO, and KY
$50 increase to interchange points with other railroads in OR, WA, and BC or destinations on BNSF in OR, WA, and BC

The unit train / gathered train / splinter train rates in this item apply only from BNSF approved origin facilities to approved BNSF unit train unloading facilities (except for splinter trains). Additional qualifying destinations will be added as the market demands.
BNSF is open to shippers wanting to ship unit / gathered / splinter trains of different commodities from the same origin region traveling to the same destination region. BNSF will evaluate these opportunities on a case by case basis and is subject to approval from BNSF Operations.
