Effective Jan 1, 2010 rates in BNSF 4022 Items 45300 and 45400 series will be adjusted. The total rate between specific Origin/Destination pairs will NOT change from levels previously announced; however, the structure of the components that make up each rate will change. The Destination rates will be decreased by $883 per car while the Origin rates will be increased by $883 per car on standard cars. Heavy axle cars will continue to be published at a 9% premium to standard cars.

As an example, this change will leave the Chicago for beyond Destination rate (defined by rate reference note 595) at zero. The Minneapolis Destination rate will become a $338 (standard cars) discount to the Origin rate.
