Beginning October 1, 2009, fuel surcharge will no longer be charged on the FXE portion of BNSF-FXE joint Ag shuttle moves. BNSF’s fuel surcharge will continue to apply from origin point to the Mexican border. Rates for these joint moves will also be revised as of October 1 (BNSF’s portion of the through rate will not change; however, the total rate will change due to FXE requirements), and may be revised frequently in the future. As a reminder, shuttle price protection does not apply on joint line rates.
