Prohibited Hazardous Intermodal Shipments

Certain hazardous Intermodal shipments are prohibited, as stated in the BNSF Intermodal Rules and Policies Guide (see the Prohibited Item).

The following hazardous Intermodal shipments can not be accepted by BNSF. There are different categories for Trailers and Containers, and Tank Containers.

Any shipment (load or residue empty) of these commodities in-gated to BNSF will be assessed a $10,000 charge and other applicable charges, and the Shipper will be notified to pick up the shipment.
