UPSP Trackage Rights

As a result of the 1995 merger of Union Pacific and Southern Pacific and to preserve competition, BNSF was granted trackage rights to certain areas previously served by both railroads. The agreement defines the requirements governing this access and establishes a formal process that BNSF must follow to request access.
