Final Report:Train Derailment near Avard, OK (Red River Division-Avard Subdivision
On Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at approximately 05:27 P.M. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Avard, OK which affected the main track. Avard, OK is approximately 13 miles southwest of Waynoka, OK. BNSF field personnel responded and assessed the derailment site. The main track has been returned to service on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 02:48 A.M CDT.
