Intermodal Loading Guide

The BNSF Load and Ride Solutions Team offers an extensive on-line guide for loading and securing intermodal shipments. If you have any questions on proper loading or securement of intermodal loads, please contact the nearest LARS rep or Email LARS@BNSF.Com to request assistance.

Important

Use of BNSF loading and securement methods are restricted to shipments moving on BNSF and approval must be obtained from a LARS rep prior to shipping. These methods cover shipments of non hazardous material commodities, unless otherwise approved by a LARS rep. Finally, because BNSF loading methods are not authorized with other rail carriers, it is the shipper's responsibility to get authorization from all carriers in the routing.
