Driver Resources

BNSF offers multiple driver tools to facilitate an efficient shipment pickup or drop off. BNSF Railway has established this web page as a resource for intermodal drivers to maximize their efficiency and enhance their overall experience when visiting BNSF Intermodal hubs.

RailPASS

The RailPASS mobile application helps drivers create a simple and efficient gate experience for dropping off, picking up or locating a shipment at BNSF intermodal facility. See more information on: Getting Started and Features and Benefits of RailPASS.

Download RailPASS from the Google Play Store and the App Store to your smart phone or tablet.

Display Intermodal Lot Location (DLL)

The DLL web tool allows drivers to track units by viewing the hub location, parking lot and row/spot, and chassis information making it easier to move freight in and out of our facilities.

Driver Assistance Building (DAB)

BNSF’s Intermodal facilities with Automated Gate Systems have an onsite Driver Assistance Building (DAB) to support drivers who require additional assistance for exceptions such as gate transaction issues.

Universal Intermodal Interchange Agreement (UIIA)

In order to access the BNSF Intermodal hubs, BNSF Railway requires motor carriers to register with the UIIA and fulfill the BNSF Equipment Provider requirements. For more information, visit www.uiia.org/Motor-Carriers or call 877-438-8442.

General Yard Rules

To ensure a safe and efficient experience when visiting the BNSF Intermodal hubs, drivers must adhere to BNSF’s General Yard Rules.
