BNSF's Chief Financial Officer to Address Merrill Lynch 2006 Global Transportation Conference

FORT WORTH, Texas, June 8, 2006:

Thomas N. Hund, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation (BNSF) (NYSE:BNI), will address the Merrill Lynch 2006 Global Transportation Conference on Thursday, June 15, 2006, at 8:00 a.m. Eastern time.
The presentation will describe BNSF's franchise, growth opportunities and financial results.
