Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation Increases Quarterly Dividend by 25 Percent
FORT WORTH, Texas, July 20, 2006 :
Directors of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation (NYSE:BNI) voted today, July 20, 2006, to increase BNSF's next quarterly dividend by 25 percent, or 5 cents per share, to 25 cents per share on outstanding common stock. This represents an annualized $1.00 per share dividend. The dividend of 25 cents per share on common stock will be paid October 2, 2006, to shareholders of record September 11, 2006. Common shares outstanding on June 30, 2006, totaled approximately 362 million. Since mid-2003, BNSF's quarterly dividend has more than doubled.
