Appanoose County Community Railroad (APNC)

Overview

APNC was formed in 1983 by the town of Centerville, utilizing abandoned sections of the Burlington Northern, Rock Island and Norfolk Southern railroads. The railroad is a non-profit entity which operates 35 miles of rail from Centerville to Albia. The line connects with NS at Albia.
