Ballard Terminal Railroad (BDTL)
Overview
BDTL operates a three mile line of industrial track running through Ballard on the North side of Salmon Bay. It connects to the BNSF yard just north of Northwest 67th Street. BNSF abandoned the line in 1997 at which time there were three customers including Salmon Bay Sand & Gravel Company on Shilshole Avenue. The Ballard Line has existed since 1893.
