KAW River Railroad (KAW)
Overview
The original KAW was a KCS property serving customers in the Greater Kansas City area and interchanging with the BNSF, KCS, and UP. The KAW expanded in April, 2005 to operate a former BNSF property serving customers in Clay County, MO and in 2006 to operate the Bedford Yard area of Kansas City. In 2007, KAW commenced operations on the Coburg line, also in Kansas City.
