New Orleans Public Belt Railroad (NOPB)
Overview
The NOPB is a publicly owned and operated terminal switching railroad operating over 26 miles of track serving the City of New Orleans and surrounding areas. The railroad has three terminals: France Yard, Jourdan Terminal and Claiborne Yard. NOPB operates 24 hours a day, seven day per week and connects with all Class I railroads except for the CP. Clients include local industry, industry coming through to the port and trains moving between railroads using NOPB as a conduit.
