Semo Port Railroad (SE)
Overview
Semo Port is situated near the upper Mississippi River and is served by both the BNSF and UP. Switching services are contracted to Motive Rail Inc. based in Cape Girardeau. SE purchased the 7 miles of track between Scott City and Cape Girardeau from the UP in 1994. It interchanges with UP at Capedeau Junction, MO south of the Port. The SE provides local switching services for inbound, outbound, and in-plant movements.
