The TMBL began operations in 2004 and serves three BNSF distribution lines. The Belmore / East Olympia line stretches 16 miles with industries including lumber, bricks and aluminum. The Quadlok line begins in St. Clair and heads Northwest to Quadlok and the Lakeview line consists of 15 miles of track extending from Nisqually to South Tacoma. TMBL is considered a switch carrier for Port of Tacoma and Tideflats traffic and a handling carrier on the Capital Division.
