Texas & Oklahoma Railroad (TXOR)
Overview
The TXOR owns and operates the line from Shaufler, TX to Maryneal, TX (17 miles) and crosses approximately five miles of BNSF track to interchange at the Sweetwater Yard. In the mid-90s, TXOR abandoned 156 miles of the North Orient Rail Line from the Oklahoma-Texas boder to Orient Junction, TX near Sweetwater. The line once served small, agricultural communities. Today, TXOR's primary commodities hauled are cement and coal.
