6200-B Diversion Policy Adjustment Effective January 1, 2020

Date
Nov 18, 2019

In our ongoing review of the diversion tariff, BNSF is revising the existing policy (6200-B, Item 400) regarding orders for empty private equipment. The policy change will prevent diversions back to originating carriers within the same waybill cycle. If a car is to move back to an originating carrier, we will require a rebill rather than a diversion. Effective January 1, 2020, the following language will be removed:

Item 400 - Diversion Requests on Empty Private Cars
Requests for diversion on empty private cars are subject to the provisions of this Book, except that Sub paragraph 3, Paragraph G in Item 600 does not apply.
