UPDATE: Billing Changes for Moves on Texas Pacifico Railroad Effective January 1, 2022
As we notified on December 8, BNSF Railway is modifying the accounting relationship we have with the Texas Pacifico Railroad (TXPF). Currently, TXPF operates as a BNSF handling carrier, which allows BNSF to publish rates directly to and from their stations.
In the previous notification, we advised customers that, effective January 1, separate waybills would need to be submitted to BNSF and TXPF for shipments on our respective rail lines. Instead, we have developed a solution that allows customers to submit one waybill to BNSF. Customers will still receive separate freight bills from BNSF and TXPF and will pay the respective railroad freight bills per the terms of pricing.
For shipments destined to TXPF:
- Submit billing to BNSF with the actual TXPF destination station and a revenue routing of BNSF Direct.
- Submit both BNSF and TXPF rate authorities on the waybill.
For shipments originating on TXPF:
- Submit billing to BNSF with the actual TXPF origin station to the BNSF destination using a revenue route of BNSF Direct. For shipments destined offline to another carrier, please use the appropriate interchange junction and routing.
- Submit both BNSF and TXPF rate authorities on the waybill.
If you have questions, please contact your BNSF account representative. For questions about TXPF rates and issues, please contact Denise Norris at 325-942-8164, or via e-mail at customerservice@txpf.us
