Health And Welfare Benefits
- Medical coverage options for employee and eligible dependents including:
- Retail and mail-order prescription drug benefits
- Mental health and substance abuse care benefits
- Dental and vision coverage for employee and eligible dependents the month following one year of service
- Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance for employee only
- Supplemental sickness benefit plan for shop craft, BMWE and BRS employees starting on the fifth consecutive day of disability with maximum benefit period of 12 months

401(k) Retirement Plan
- After meeting the plan's eligibility service requirement, employees may make before-tax and/or after-tax contributions up to 25 percent of pay up to the annual Internal Revenue Service limit
- Rollovers are accepted as a direct transfer from previous employer's 401(k) plan

Tuition Refund: BNSF Railway provides educational assistance to employees with at least six months of continuous service who pursue job-related degree programs and job-related individual courses at accredited educational institutions
